Tracie & Ryan welcome you to the Palace at Versailles
Tracie went many wonderful
places, saw many wonderful things, ate many wonderful foods, and just all
around had a wonderful time on her 15-day trip to France! A few of the yarniest highlights…
Her yarn crawl with
Barbara of Stitching Up Paris Needlecraft Tours was so much fun! Barbara is a knitter and seamstress
from New Zealand who puts what she’s learned from her 30 years living in Paris
to take you to shop for whatever strikes your fancy: yarn, fabric, notions, etc. She took Tracie to 8 yarn stores, finishing
up with lunch here at L'OisiveThé, which doubles as a café.
On the night of September
30, Sacha Laurin’s Kombucha Couture collection showed at the Espace Pierre
Cardin in Paris – including Tracie’s knit Kombucha dress:
The collection got lots of
great feedback, and it was a thrilling night!
Tracie also got to meet
Laurence (Rav name: Lolacha), a listener and fellow podcaster! They had a great afternoon talking over
lunch about knitting, podcasting, learning languages, parenting and all sort of
other things! Laurence is the host of Maille Podcast.
Tracie and Barb will be at Stitches West - February 18-21, 2016 in Santa Clara,
California. Come join us in the
bar on Saturday afternoon for our meet-up with the Yarniacs and lots of other
fun people!
