Her Gnarled Oak Cardigan, using Wollmeise Merino DK. She is so happy with the final project! It is a perfect fit, and looks great unbuttoned or buttoned up.

The Featherweight Cardigan by Hannah Fettig, using Must Stash Yarns Helluva Skein in the Pauo'le colorway.
She has frogged the Richmond Hat by Brenda Castiel. The yarn was too dark to show the beautiful pattern!
A pair of vanilla socks using Opal Shafpate in the 1810 color way.
Barb has cast-on the Copperline Mitts by Elizabeth Doherty, using Madelinetosh DK in the Calligraphy colorway. She is not happy with this yarn for this project, so will probably frog them.

The Carrier by Sophie Hannah. Tracie thinks that it is pretty convoluted so far, but she will stick with it.

Aftershock: A Thriller by Andrew Vachss. Although Barb finds the book's main character somewhat annoying, she is enjoying the story anyway.
I was searching for chick lit reads and some how came across your blog! So glad that I did, I love that you and your mom do these things together and essentially have your own little book club! I love your book suggestions too! I've been looking for some for my sister, and she might really like these. You should look in to "Holy Fool, Holy Father" by Nicholas A. Marziani Jr., http://www.holyfoolholyfatherthenovel.com/. A friend of mine recommended it to me; it looks really good! Keep doing what you're doing, time spent together is so precious!

ReplyDeleteHow strange! I was listening to your summary of Mystery on the Isles of Shoals, and it sounded so familiar. Anita Shreve wrote about the same murders in The Weight of Water, which I read several years ago. It's a good book.
