Tracie has finished:
Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Sox Therapist/Dizzy Blonde Studios
Mr. Bakery Bear in Red Heart Super Saver, Malabrigo Silky Merino and some old acrylic Tracie found in her stash
Barb continues to work on:
Barb has cast-on:
The Featherweight Cardigan by Hannah Fettig, using Must Stash Yarn Helluva Skein in a Pauo-le colorway.
Another pair of Vanilla socks using Opal Schafpate in 8120 colorway.
The Soubrette cardigan by Mary Annarella, using Madelinietosh Tosh Lace (a discontinued yarn) in the Georgia O’Keeffe colorway.
The Sprig of Hope shawl by Robin Wiest using Cascade Sunseeker in 09 (Green). Proceeds from this pattern will be donated to Autism Speaks until mid-April so check it out!
Barb and Tracie are huge fans of the Fish Lips Kiss Heel. This pattern, written by Sox Therapist, is only $1! Although it is 16 pages long (with very detailed directions on making a cardboard cutout of your foot, along with measuring instructions), both Tracie and Barb "cheated" and went straight to the heel instructions. This pattern works for both toe-up and cuff-down patterns.
Barb has had a good stretch of great books! She has finished:
The Silent Girls by Eric Riskstad - thumbs up for a quick read
Gray Mountain by John Grisham - thumbs up for Grisham fans
Persuasion by Jane Austen - thumbs up!
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty - an enthusiastic thumbs up
The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew - a thumbs up for a good coming-of-age story set in the 1950s segregated South
Show Me Good Land by Shonna Milliken Humphrey - thumbs up
Tracie has finished:
Edward Adrift by Craig Lancaster - thumbs up
The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line (Veronica Mars) by Rob Thomas & Jennifer Graham - thumbs up
Mr. Kiss-and-Tell (Veronica Mars) by Rob Thomas & Jennifer Graham - Tracie didn't like it as much as The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line, especially since the Audible version wasn't narrated by Kristen Bell
The Perfect Stranger by Wendy Corsi Staub
Persuasion by Jane Austen
The Handsome Man's Delux Cafe by Alexander McCall Smith - an enthusiastic thumbs up!
Vampires in the Lemon Grove by Karen Russell
